Warehouse Associate at Amazon ยท B.S. Computer Science, WGU 2026
I'm an L1 warehouse associate at Amazon and a recent Computer Science graduate. I finished the degree while working full time, and much of what it taught me, from building and deploying software to reasoning carefully about data and systems, applies directly to the practical problems any workplace has. I believe those skills can make me better at whatever job I take on next, and this site collects the coursework and projects behind that claim.

Computer Science Project Development with a Team
Computer Science Project Development with a Team has students prepare a prior project for submission to a mock technical and executive leadership team. This course expands on the coding work done in a previous course, asking students to submit three artifacts. The final artifact is a business proposal aimed at convincing stakeholders to implement the project, which includes an executive summary of product requirements directed at the IT audience, as well as a technical report of the fully functional data product intended to solve a real-world problem. Artifacts are evaluated by peer team members prior to submission, and students practice giving, receiving, and integrating feedback into their work process. This course covers the following competencies: begin your course by discussing your course planning tool report with your instructor and creating your personalized course plan together; the learner creates a project proposal to convince stakeholders to implement the system; the learner creates an executive summary of product requirements directed to IT professionals; the learner creates a technical report for a fully functional data product to solve real-world scenarios.
How I Work
My weeks start early. I work a morning shift at Amazon that begins before dawn and ends around midday, and I pick up extra shifts when they are offered. Three afternoons a week go to a long gym session and the others to a run, and then to study or project work. Two evenings a week I am in class, a prerequisite for the applied statistics and data science master's program I have applied to. Sundays are for family, chores, extracurriculars and rest.
That is the ideal week, and it does not always hold. When energy runs short I cut in a fixed order: projects first, then gym time, then coursework, and work last. It is why the projects here grow in small, finished steps: each one has to fit the hours a full week leaves over. September was one of the good months.
